Charlotte for a Day

Despite what my husband thinks, I’m easy to please.

All I need is a warm day and the right amount of sun with shade readily available when I get too hot, an outfit I feel cute in, a delicious meal that lives up to the hype, a coffee drink that’s the perfect temp and not lukewarm, a cute outfit photo that gets taken quickly without people staring at me leading me to feel uncomfortable, classy window shopping that makes me feel inspired, not poor, and perfect attitudes from the kiddos with no arguments.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking?

He’s way off!

All jokes aside, a day trip to Charlotte, NC, checked almost all of these boxes. I didn’t get the sunny day I’d prefer (more like bouts of pouring rain), but I regulated my emotions and didn’t throw a hissy fit. Adulting!

Phillips Place is a very beautiful outdoor shopping mall that houses stores like Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, and Restoration Hardware. It’s always fun to stroll through RH and who can resist an upscale shopping moment?
